Whilst watching the cycling at Willunga:

What if the guy out the front took a wrong turn and got lost?

It happens to me all the time in my studies.  I'm so far ahead of the rest of the class that sometimes I head off in the wrong direction and make all sorts of new discoveries instead of learning what I'm supposed to be learning.

Right.  That must be real tough for you.

That's the risk you take by being way out in front.

What's a pelaton of medical students called?

Is there a protocol for medical students in the pelaton who feel the call of nature?

My patented technique is to pretend I have received a mobile phone call and dash from the room. Doesn't work so well on a bike though...

You should just pretend that you have just found some teeth stuck in your mango. Of course, that means you'll have to carry a mango around at all times - but it may help strike up conversation with patients.

Interesting! Totally impractical, but interesting!
